Preston Street Chicken Sandwich

This easy chicken sandwich uses an herb-infused honey-Dijon sauce to take it to the next level.


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
leaf lettuce
Swiss cheese
4 Kaiser rolls, split
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1/2 cup (125 mL) canola oil
1/2 cup (125 mL) Italian dressing
2 tbsp (30 mL) Italian seasoning

Herbed Honey Dijon Sauce:

1/4 cup (60 mL) honey Dijon mustard
1 tsp (5 mL) mixed fresh herbs
1/4 cup (60 mL) lemon juice



1 Blend canola oil, Italian dressing, and Italian seasoning. Add chicken to the mixture.
2 Marinate chicken breasts for 3 hours.
3 Grill chicken breast on medium heat until chicken is cooked through and meat thermometer registers 165°F (74°C) (about 5 minutes per side).
4 Place chicken breast, topped with Herbed Honey Dijon Sauce, Swiss cheese and lettuce on the Kaiser.
5 Season with salt and pepper

Herbed Honey Dijon Sauce

1 Stir together honey Dijon mustard, mixed fresh herbs, and lemon juice. Use as a spread on sandwiches.
