Lemon Dijon Yogurt Chicken

This simple recipe makes a rich-tasting, delicious chicken that’s lovely served with green beans and roasted baby potatoes.


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup (250 mL) plain yogurt
1 tsp (5 mL) lemon zest
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
1 tbsp (15 mL) Dijon mustard
1 tsp (5 mL) basil, dried
1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) thyme, dried
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) black pepper


1 Whisk together yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, mustard, spices and garlic in a large shallow dish. Add chicken breasts, turning to coat well.
2 Preheat grill.
3 Place chicken of top of grill over medium-high heat. Close lid and grill 10-15 minutes per side or until a thermometer inserted into the breast reads 165°F (74°C).
