New Entrant Program

The New Entrant Program is open and accepting applications until February 1, 2019.
This is an opportunity for new farmers to enter our industry, with help and support from the Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan.
There will be three new farmers selected this year.

Why do we have this program?

Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan created the New Entrant program
to help potential new farmers enter the chicken industry.

Who is eligible?

Applicants must be at least 18 yrs of age, and have not owned CFS quota in the last ten years.
Preference will be given to a person who does not, currently or in the past, own quota in the supply-managed sector.

How much quota will the successful applicant receive?

20,000 bird units = 35,400kg

How do I apply?

To apply, submit the application package, marked 'Offer to Purchase Base Quota',
to Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan office by February 1, 2019.
